"Miniatures 2" is the long awaited follow up to the 1980 "Miniatures" album, which was both critically and commercially well received. The new album (released April 2000) has been compiled by Morgan Fisher and is a fascinating collection of 60 new tracks, all no more than 60 seconds long. Contributors on the album include Gavin Bryars, Hugh Cornwell (Ex The Stranglers), Lol Coxhill, David Cunningham, John Fiddler (Ex Medicine Head), Robert Fripp (Ex King Crimson), Howard Jones, John Paul Jones (Ex Led Zepplin), The Levellers, Penguin Cafe Orchestra and Terry Riley.

From punk rocker to mayor of a city is quite a jump, but Phillip has made that leap. As a mayor he is very involved with environmental concerns. As a musician he is now creating a rich blend of warm yet contemporary orchestral music and the spoken words of the people in his area, from venerable farmers to spiritual Native Americans. GAVIN BRYARS * U.K.
One of England's foremost modern orchestral composers. Has composed for jazz bass legend Charlie Haden and the English National Opera. In 1995 he released "Jesus' Blood never Failed Me Yet", the acclaimed album (featuring U.S. singer Tom Waits), from which he has edited a one-minute miniaturere. CHRIS BUTLER * U.S.A.
A writer of alternative rock hits, Chris is also one of the only musicians recording on 1940's wire recorders. His song "Devil's Glitch" is in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest single ever recorded - 69 minutes. A one-minute edit has been made for this album. TRACK 55: Have A Nice Century!

JANE CAMPION * NEW ZEALAND

BJ COLE * U.K.

Was guitarist/vocalist/leader of the renowned punk rock band The Stranglers, and is now a successful solo artist. TRACK 5: 2000 Lights

JOHN FIDDLER * U.K.
Leader of the #1-hit acoustic duo Medicine Head, who were heroes of the underground music scene in Britain in the early 70's. His intelligent, heart-fuelled songwriting style and voice have been compared to John Lennon. TRACK 39: Another 21st Century Day

DANIEL FIGGIS * IRELAND

MORGAN FISHER * U.K.
Producer of this album (and the 1980 "Miniatures" album), Fisher started in 1968 as organist with The Love Affair (a #1-hit pop band) then played rock with Mott the Hoople and Queen.
