Most Ian Hunter albums and individual tracks are available for digital download thesedays. Some digital albums have been available on CD for years but have been issued with different titles and artwork. Other titles are only made available in digital format, or offer bonus tracks not available on the CD edition.

Originally released as bonus CD with 1994 re-issue of "Short Back N' Sides"
When Ian's 1981 album "Short Back N' Sides" was re-issued on CD in 1994, it included a bonus disc called "Long Odds and Outtakes" with alternate mixes and outtakes from "Short Back N' Sides" and "You're Never Alone With A Schizophrenic" from 1979. The bonus disc was also released in USA in 1996 (Griffin Records). The 2CD edition is now out of print, but the bonus disc was made available for download in 2006!

The 30th anniversary edition of Ian's "Schizophrenic" album is available as a digital download with two bonus tracks which were omitted from the 2CD-set: "Ships" (early version) and "Just Another Night" (electric). Apparently this was due to time restrictions on the CD format.
(UPDATE 2012) the 4CD Ian Hunter box-set "From the Knees of My Heart - The Chrysalis Years 1979-1981" includes the two bonus tracks mentioned above.
Ian Hunter's new album "Fingers Crossed" will be available on CD, Vinyl and Digital Download from 16 September 2016, but those pre-ordering via Propermusic.com will also receive an exclusive non-album MP3 download track called "Seein' Red":
