Mick co-wrote "Gypsy Lover" with Marino in 1990, but the song was not used at the time. Marino eventually recorded the song in 1998 with Alex Ligertwood (Santana) and it was released as a bonus track on the 2000 CD re-issue of "The Best Of Marino Vol. 1" which was only available from his website. The album is subtitled "Jewel Of The North (Europe 86-93)"
Marino Da Silva and his sister Lisa knew Mick from Hull and Mick first worked with them when he produced some demos for Lisa in 1986 which they later released on the cassette EP "The Big Kiss", credited to Lisa Dominique with Marino The Band.
