The title of this compilation is a bit misleading since it includes four tracks by Mott ("Stiff Upper Lip", "Monte Carlo", "Good Times", and "Storm") - but the rest are a fine mix of Mott The Hoople album and single cuts. Nice to finally see "Whizz Kid" and "Momma's Little Jewel" on a greatest hits compilation!

This 4CD box set was compiled by Buffin and comes with a 48 page booklet written by Keith Smith. It has rare unseen photos being supplied from the personal archives of Allen, Buffin, Ralphs and Watts.

All material is previously released. Disc 1 is the "Fairfield Halls, Live 1970" CD, Disc 2 is the second CD from "A Tale Of Two Cities" 2CD set, Disc 3 and 4 are the "Two Miles From Live Heaven" 2CD set.

If you missed out on them individually, be sure not to miss this set! Due to become a rarity in its own right, this box set is a limited edition release with only 2,000 copies being produced.

This is a compilation of previously released live tracks licensed from Angel Air. It was issued on the German budget label Black Box - and the first of three German compilations from 2007 entitled "All The Young Dudes".

The songs are all culled from the Angel Air releases "All The Way From Stockholm To Philadelphia - Live 71/72" and "Two Miles From Live Heaven".

The second German compilation was just CD1 from the Black Box issue, but it sported a colour cover! According to the label, the CD is housed "in a luxurious slipcase - 8 pages booklet - picture disc". The luxurious slipcase is just a simple cardboard replica of the CD cover, and the booklet actually depicts a band that is NOT Mott The Hoople! But the picture disc is nice....

"Family Anthology" was released in July 2005. It has a fine mix of Mott The Hoople material and solo efforts by family members, including many previously unreleased tracks! This is the third family type album (the other two are "Friends and Relatives" from 1999 and "Family Album" from 2000).

This long-awaited Mott The Hoople box set was compiled by Dale Griffin and was finally released on 14 September 1998. It has a good mix of hits and rarities and it also covers the early days as The Buddies (1964), Doc Thomas Group (1966) and The Shakedown Sound (1968), plus spin-off bands Mott and British Lions. The box includes a 56-page booklet with a MTH chronology, a discography and detailed information about each track.

TRIVIA ALERT! Sony considered deleting the 1976 "Greatest Hits" album and replace it with CD2 from this set, but it came to nothing.
